About

Our Mission is to inspire and celebrate through music the collective voices, that if sung together can change the world in which we live for the benefit of the 100%.  We look to spread the word of truth in music, and amplify the voices that have lost their strength. Music For Occupy will continue to support music projects that inspire its listeners to stand up, volunteer themselves for a greater good, and speak out for what they believe in.  We look to invigorate, and re-invent Protest Music, into it’s current form what we call “Movement Music” of current times to further cultural awareness, social responsibility, and develop a deep social consciousness in all who listen.  We make music that Moves you.

Since our inception in September of 2011 we have:

The future looks bright and we are excited to be working on our future projects:

1. “The Sounds Of Sandy” Volume 2 of the Occupy This Album series – a benefit album for Sandy Survivors

2.  Hurricane Sandy Relief Folk concert with some of the top names in folk music

3.  We have documented all of our Sandy relief efforts and will be producing numerous mini documentaries with to spread the message that SO MUCH MORE help is desperately needed.  The situation for so many is not improving and we feel very inspired to make sure that the world knows.

4.  We have documented nearly every moment of our existance and have produced a full featured documentary called                                                    “The Movement and The Music” to be released in 2013

We look to give voices and opportunities to artists who support our vision; specifically artists who have never been heard before, and have many troubles making it in today’s industry because their message is just not “Pop” enough.  We look to team up socially conscious known and accomplished artists, with other artists that could use a light shined..

The music industry of today has become so obsessed with profit, and has forgotten to pay attention to the music that makes one think, and inspires change.

Music For Occupy will bring social consciousness back to music.  Music For Occupy will produce music, concerts, and events relevant to our times, to benefit all, while giving your voice back to music.

Music For Occupy is a 501(c)(3)  with fiscal sponsorship from The Alliance For Global Justice
